![]() It might need the wrapper or you need to do the ADK fix, I have an intel 16 core laptop and had to use the ADK as DS2 has a problem with systems with a lot of cores I think (I might be wrong), but I got the black screen loading, spinning cursor then booted back to windows. For the large majority of people the issue wasn't the Windows Version but the core count 10+ and this game just doesn't want to work. ![]() So there's a way when you go in to change those setting you can open recent file blocks and then just change it to allow then that will fix your problem without turning of file protect entirely. My system, windows 11, i7-12800hx, 3070ti, 64GB ram. Let me know if this works or not, and I can also look into some other things that might cause it as well. I am also running Steam as an administrator. I turned this off, and then tried to save. I did this with Dead Space 2 open, after getting the save error. This will unlock your documents folder, and allow games and any other apps that need access to that folder to save and access the files and folders. Windows explains a little bit what this does, and what turning it off will do. Go to the anti-virus section, and under manage sections, there is an option at the bottom Controlled Folder Access. So, to turn it off you need to open Windows Security. It should fix the save bug of any game that saves to the User/documents/folder name. This causes a lot of issues with not only this game, but other things like Skyrim for example, will be affected by this. Think of it as encrypted folders that Windows 10 basically says that applications cannot access these folders at all, for any reason. The con to this is that it basically removes the security feature from folders that applications can access them now, where as before they could not. ![]() This is a feature built into the anti-virus system of the Microsoft Security. Windows 10 has a little feature called Protected Folder Access. ![]()
